When becoming a singer or musician, it is very hard to become popular. Every person out there have their now likes and dislike. If you become a singer, yes you would become famous, but you could become a popular one or a not as popular one. For example, in the show "X Factor", a singing contest, many people try it but only one can win. Both Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke was winners of the show from different series, but Leona seems to have more attention then Alexandra. Even though Leona had a longer time of being famous then Alexandra because Leona won the 3rd season and Alexandra won the 5th season, Leona became very popular almost right after she won. Her very first single "Bleeding Love" became very popular and Alexandra's first single "Bad Boy" didn't really show as much popularity as Leona's. I'm not saying the Alexandra is not popular because she is very popular towards the UK but in the US she didnt really shine as much as Leona.
The reason I am saying all of the things before is because sometimes even celebrities have to change themselves to become popular. For example, a popular group made of two girls name TATU had to do something alittle dirty to get attention. What I ment by dirty is showing the image that they are lesbians really got people to notice them. At first they didn't even want to do it but when the signed with their producer, they wanted them to change their image to les. and that is how they got popular. I'm not saying that they only got famous because of that, I mean their music is really catchy too. Another example is "The Wonder Girls", South Korea's most famous girl group, came to the US to debuted late last year. Back in Korea they were dancing like "The Pussycat Dolls" and those kind of moves. When they came to the US they were already hired as the openers for "The Jonas Brothers Tour" and since they were with The Jonas, they couldn't really do any sexy moves because Jonas audiences are more towards young teens and children. If they did any erotic moves then people would judge them and probably the parents wouldn't let their childrens watch them. An example of someone doing erotic moves was "Vanessa Hudgens". She was a very good insperation towards young girls, but once her nude photos got on the Internet, many fans started to not like her.
What I'm saying is that it is not only us who uses music to belong sometimes. Sometimes celebrities have to even change to become popular.
