There has been many people that I know, that change the type of music that they like just to belong with the crowd. In my own opinion, I think that music doesn't really change who you are or people doesn't really judge you by the music you like. People won't hate other people if they like a different kind of music. Mostly, I think that people usually go for they way they act. I am sure that people might think that you like weird music, but that doesn't mean that they will hate you.
For example, some people that I know, say that listening to "Rap" music makes you a bad person. In my opinion, I think that "rap" music is kind of awesome. I mean, look at Obama, he is not a bad person and actually got to be our first black president. In one of his speech, he mentioned Lil Wayne in it. Rappers might have a gangster look to them, but they might be the nicest person that you meet. You just can't judge what they bring to the public and just think that they are bad. Also I know a lot of people that hangout with each other and they all don't like the same kind of music. So in my opinion, music doesn't really show who you are or bring you more friends.

that isnt always true. people make fun of me because i listen to metal and Razor 94.7 several times a week. and quite frankly i dont care. its what i like and dont expect others to. also. metal bands and fans are seen as evil to many older people even though they are some of the most patriotic people in the united states. i have met people that i have become friends with at concerts andit all started with the same music. most of my firends listen to what i do also.
